The main grape variety in Soave is Garganega which Andrea describes as a flexible and versatile grape used for both everyday Soave and the higher quality Classico as well as sparkling and even a passito Recioto style. Soave is located in the Veneto region in northeast Italy and the appellation produces around 40-50 million bottles a year with about 50-60% exported globally. You can also have Trebbiano Veronese in the blend although more growers nearby are planting Pinot Grigio, though this isn't a permitted grape.
I thought the questions were excellent, an extremely valuable revision tool. They really helped highlight areas I thought I had revised and understood but clearly had not, which has enabled me to focus on key areas to revisit and study before going into the exam... I think it is a great resource and an essential revision aid for any WSET 3 students wishing to gain a competitive edge and successfully pass the WSET 3 exam.
